About EDI Network

EDI Network has the mission to facilitate the adoption of EV by allowing any EV driver in Belgium to rapidly and efficiently charge its EV, by developing a network of highly reliable charging infrastructure that is publicly available, strategically located and installed on private properties.

EDI Network is a sister company of EDI whose mission is to develop one-stop shop solutions in the field of electric mobility. EDI and EDI Network are fully owned subsidiaries of D’Ieteren Auto through Lab Box, a start-up studio focusing on mobility of the future.

Short description

The mission of the Product Manager is to endorse the captain's role of this business line. As Product Manager, you will be expected to continuously develop and improve the public charging offering and organization, while ensuring successful commercial strategy/workforce and optimizing the utilization of the network.

The Product Manager will be responsible for implementing and developing a (semi-)public charging strategy within the EDI ecosystem. As Product Manager, you are the driving force behind the full product and your objective is to develop an extensive network of chargers installed on well-located publicly available parking in order to boost usage by EV drivers.

The ideal candidate is result oriented, with strong communication skills and has the abilities to spread the mission and values of the Public Charging project over Belgium. He needs the right balance between strategic thinking, commercial dynamism and operation management. Capacity to make things happen and a strong independence in work are key success factors for this job.

Role and responsibilities  

✓  Optimize utilisation by selecting cautiously the potential parkings, defining appropriate pricing policies, coordinate powerful marketing campaigns (off & on) with adequate partners (targeting both parking owners and EV drivers) and ensuring enough visibility of the chargers on every location, in order to reach the commercial and financial targets

  Refine and deliver a clear business development roadmap (incl. commercial strategy, operations management, financial planning...etc) and ambitious financial trajectory

  Set-up and implement the go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the EDI B2B teams (prospect, contact and negotiate with parking owners the terms of a public charging collaboration)

  Ensure clear and smooth communication, processes and operations between the different stakeholders for the installation, support, maintenance of the chargers, to be negotiated and documented through contracts.

  Optimize utilisation by selecting cautiously the potential parkings, defining appropriate pricing policies, coordinate powerful marketing campaigns (off & on) with adequate partners (targeting both parking owners and EV drivers) and ensuring enough visibility of the chargers on every location, in order to reach the commercial and financial targets

  Track the operational and financial performance of the project, through the selection of right IT tools and make necessary actions to ensure optimization of the financial profitability per project

  Pitching the project towards clients and financing partners, supported by self-drafted and high quality presentations.


Requirements

      Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset - your resume breathes developing new business and territories;

     You have successfully introduced new concepts and grown their market presence before;

     Experience in strategy consulting and willing to work to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility;

     +5 years of relevant business experience;

     You bring along excellent project management, presentation and organizational skills;

     You are able to connect with and convince at Management Committee level both internally and with potential partners and investors; you have strong negotiation skills to sell and set up projects

     You have notions in project finance, financial planning and are energized by the realization of a business plan

     Fluent in French or Dutch with an adequate knowledge of the other language and English.
