Electric by D’Ieteren is a growing company that offers an ecosystem of smart charging solutions for all electric vehicles. As part of the IT & Process Excellence team, you will work on business solutions primarily based on Odoo, as well as utilizing O365 and Azure (API) to provide day-to-day services and connect with third-party services. You will also have the opportunity to work with external IT platforms, such as EVC-NET, which allows for the remote management of chargers and access to public chargers.

We are seeking an experienced IT Backend Specialist to join our team and work on 2 key projects : an energy management system and a CPO/MSP platform. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to build new energy products and services that will complete our energy ecosystem offering. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing the server-side logic for web applications to ensure they are robust, scalable, and secure

• Building and maintaining APIs to support the frontend of web applications

• Integrating with databases and storage systems to persist data

• Ensuring that the application can handle large amounts of traffic and is scalable

• Debugging and troubleshooting server-side issues

• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and implementing new tools and approaches to improve development efficiency

As a hands-on and autonomous team member, you will take ownership of your assignments and deliver high quality results. You will work closely with your colleagues to produce the best deliverables through peer review and user demos. You should have a strong understanding of computer science principles, as well as experience with server-side programming languages, such as Python. You should also have experience with database technologies and be comfortable working with Linux servers. In addition to your technical skills, you should have strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Python

• Experience with the Azure cloud computing platform

• Knowledge of GitHub version control

• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position

• Fluency in English, French, or Dutch

• Ability to work unsupervised and be organized and rigorous

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Experience with security best practices for backend systems

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members
