About Electric by D’Ieteren (EDI)

EDI is bringing the Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem to the next level in Belgium by providing turn-key solutions from the purchase decision to the daily usage of an EV. More specifically EDI is selling charging stations with installation and services such as connectivity, split billing, energy management and charging cards in a seamless way to EV drivers and fleet managers. EDI is a fully owned subsidiary of D’Ieteren Auto and aims at becoming the #1 EV charging player in Belgium.

Who we’re looking for

EDI is looking for an experienced, self-driven and highly motivated Head of Field Operations to manage our teams of technicians performing installations and home checks, to manage the purchasing and logistics processes and to develop our operations capabilities in terms of scale, efficiency and scope. Hence, you will ensure that EDI is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short- term and long-term objectives. You will be reporting to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

✓ Achieve operational performance to deliver customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness while scaling up the team and the processes.

✓ Manage a team of +30 technicians (some internal, some external, all 100% for EDI) with several direct reports (technical supervisor,1 dispatcher)

✓ Ensure technicians are properly trained and equipped to deliver each day outstanding customer experiences, first time right interventions with optimal planning and logistics

✓ Ensure optimal stock level & picking processes. Deal with suppliers for returns and recalls.

✓ Enforce compliance with safety standards (ex: VCA**, ISO9001) and best practices

✓ Manage complicated customer cases and technical problems together with supervisor

✓ Lead projects to make EDI’s operations to the next level : to double the team scale over a year,

to improve operational efficiency, to expand the portfolio to other energy services and to

implement the systems & tools optimizing technicians’ plannings

✓ Lead the project of finding and moving the EDI team to a new location (offices and warehouse)

✓ As a member of EDI management team, contribute to the continuous improvement of

processes, value propositions and definition of the team’s ambitions.

Requirements

✓ +10 years hands-on experience in electricity works or related field

✓ Master’s degree in electrical engineering

✓ Previous experience in a senior position managing operations with on-site technicians

✓ Experience of managing a warehouse and optimizing logistics and purchasing process

✓ Result-oriented and numbers-driven with an ability to think in terms of process improvement,

beyond problem solving

✓ Outstanding technical, decision-making and leadership skills with a team player spirit

✓ Excellent verbal and written conversation in French and Dutch

✓ Passionate about developing electric mobility
